Hi everyone. First, this is a picture I made for Jane Davenport's class Supplies Me
. I enjoyed drawing this as she represents my granddaughter who is really skinny like this, loves purple and is taking ballet. (Her mother told me in LB's saturday class they were told to kick their legs behind them and try to reach the back of their head. When she saw LB she exclaimed "OMG (long version), she's really doing it"! And my LB said she kicked her head pretty hard with her right leg but only touched it lightly with her left. Now can you do that? I can't even kick past knee-height!
The second thing and the point of this post is a question. Do you have an Ipad or an Android tablet? I am looking at these and have read that on the Android tablets some of the web sites come up in cellphone version rather than a PC version and some find that annoying. Since I don't get sites on my cellphone I don't know how annoying that would be so I am hoping someone can tell me! If you have an Ipad, do the sites come up regular version or cellular version on it? Maybe this is the real reason people love the Ipad over the Android tablets?

Love your ballet sketch. I'm working on some ballet illustrations for a client and I'm having a grand time.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have an iPad and love it.
This is a great painting! I love that... 'supplies me' line! Can't advise you on the electronics, but I'd like to hear which one you get and how you like it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful ballet sketch!
ReplyDelete(I don't have either an iPad or Android so I can't help you there, sorry!)
Can't help with the techie question, I'm afraid, but I do love your ballerina. Such a cute little face! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful drawing! I have a Nook Color, which is an ereader plus it's like an android tablet - can surf the web, email, all that stuff, it has a touch key pad and wi-fi built in. I love it. Web sites look just like they do on my pc. I think it has the option to view either way though.
ReplyDeleteGreat colorful drawing of your grand-daughter! I don't have either one just a pc so can't help with the question.
ReplyDeleteI love your ballet sketch--I could see it as a beautiful greeting card that you'd find in one of those eclectic stores that are so fun to wander through.
ReplyDeleteSorry, can't help with the Ipad/Android question...I'm lucky to have a laptop and a cell phone...
I can't help you with the tablet/ipad question. But I can tell you I think your drawing is great! It could be a book illustration. And as it represents your granddaughter, it's even better - she looks pretty and really cool here!
ReplyDeleteNot a thought about your blog, yet.....I just found you, too and have become a follower/fan!
ReplyDeleteMy son is a techie geek and to answer your question (if you haven't had one already-well, I guess even if you have....lol) he says "As far as I know, the website itself is what serves different formats of the same web page (the mobile version or the full version). The iPad does have a larger screen than a lot of the popular Android devices, so that may be why the web page is being trimmed down on the Android but not the iPad. I’ve used both the Motorola Xoom and the iPad 2 and have to say the iPad is much easier to use. Apple offers better customer support as well."
Hope that helps.
Very cute ballerina! I have an iPad and I love it. Most websites look the same as on my PC, but a few don't. But most of the ones that don't have a link to change the display. It might also have to do with the browser, which is Safari on the iPad. I had never used Safari before (I use Firefox on my PC).
