Organic Fruit
I finally drew the fruit my son sent me for Mother's Day. I had a little oops moment. Perfection just seems to shout out against me, lol. The rest of it came out okay and I now have a record of the fruit besides a photo. I used Caran 'd Ache crayons for the color and Pitt pens for the ink.

Nice fruit. You did alot. They look really good. I have oops accidents all the time LOL>
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely present! And a lovely sketch to remember it by - like those fruit stickers too
ReplyDeleteI got distracted when you said something about PITT artist pens ^^ I was just checking to make sure that I have enough pen for the upcoming projects =)
ReplyDeleteAwesome colors of the fruits and nice presentation too (love the stickers)
One of my art instructors told us to learn to appreciate the beauty of the human hand in our art. Anyone can take a photograph.
ReplyDeleteI like the sketch very much.
Yep, I know all about the oops!! I just LOVE all of your sketches!!! They are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteLove this page...the lettering, the stickers, and of course, the drawing! Very creative! Happy Mother's Day late:)
ReplyDeleteA great way to remember the Day and thoughtfulness of the present. You have definitely figured out how to use the crayons - they feel some big and imprecise to me.
ReplyDeleteNow you have made me hungry! This is lovely, gorgeous fruit. I agree about the artist's hand too.
ReplyDeleteIf you hadn't mentioned it, none of us would have known you had a misplaced orange! It looks great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful bunch of mother's day presents (don't you just love the UPS man? I know I do!). This is a great post! nancy
ReplyDeleteGreat job, however I love how you've made the napkin under raise as if it is 3D!
ReplyDeleteYum! Love the fruit stickers on the side!

ReplyDeleteI loved your trip to England, great pages too.
Wonderful, wonderful page! I love the stickers down the side. I think a little 'accident' gives character to a drawing!

ReplyDeleteFun blog to visit! I enjoyed the "fake trip)! Thanks for you comments on 100 Dogs, I'm also doing a EDM in May. shoot! its after 8pm, I wanted to take some time and do something other than a quick sketch for the 31st post! Oh well, I've got till midnight! Very nice renderings.
ReplyDeleteContinued success!

ReplyDeleteThanks again for you comments. I decided a wire dog would be good for the 31st post. I have company coming in a couple days and I MUST focus on cleaning! Who knows when I'll get to the wire! D:
